Tutorial for taking screenshots of Android based phones.

Here is the step by step tutorial of taking screenshots of your android phone.

    1. Download and install the drivers for your Android phone.

    2. Open the menu of your Android phone and select settings.

    3. Select Applications then go to Development and enable usb debugging and mark the check box on the right side of it.

    4. Download the Android SDK from http://code.google.com/android/download.html. Select the Windows OS and download the file.

    5. After downloading, unzip and save the file on your hard drive and remember the path.

    6. Now download the Java SE Development Kit (JDK) kit from Java SE Downloads - Sun Developer Network (SDN) and install it.

    7. Now connect the Android Phone to the PC.

    8. Locate the folder where Android SDK was unzipped (in step 5 above), Open the tools folder and double click on ddms.

    9. When you open the Android SDK DDMS at the first time, a window as shown in screenshot below will appear. Click the proceed button to continue.

10.The Dalvik Debug Monitor will open. Click on your device listed in the upper left window.

    11. Select Device then Screen capture to take a screenshot.

    12. A window will open which will display whatever is displayed on your Android phone.

    13. Navigate to the screen on your phone which you want to capture.

    14. Click on the save button to save the screenshot.
